Mid Range HOTAS for newbie? So I've been wanting to get into DCS over the past year and im finally making a move soon to get my very first HOTAS. I just have an issue where my budget is. If you're thinking of also playing Star citizen or something else more 'flight sim' esque an x56 will be fine until you get really obsessed and spend thousands on a sim cockpit setup.

The X56 is great with one common issue/feature, there's a decent amount of center "wobble." it can be corrected for with dead-zones, or even a 3D-printed part and 4 springs, but it can be annoying. The throttle can be "stiff" but it's easily fixed by reducing some of the lube that comes applied from the factory.
